| Jacqueline S. Wilson I have previously worked with watercolor, pen and ink, and drypoint, but wanted to return to an old favorite of mine: woodcut printmaking; I enjoy cutting into the wood, working with balsa wood, poplar and pine. the print when pulled for the first time is always an event, particularly thrilling to me. I work from inspiration of subject matter in my near world; plants and animals and use these as a channel to depict particular expressiveness. 66 Reach Road / Deer Isle, Maine 04627 / 207-348-9900 EDUCATION: BFA, UCLA 1969 M.A.T, Rhode Island School of Design 1975 TEACHING: Full-time art teacher, grades K-12, public schools (Hampton, NH, Deer Isle-Stonington, Sedgwick, Brooklin, Calais and Farmington, ME) 1976 - 2005 Art Enrichment program, Deer Isle Elementary School, 1997-2005 French Teacher, Deer Isle-Stonington High School, 2005-2006 ART ACTIVITIES, EXHIBITIONS, ETC.: Member DIAA, Union of Maine Visual Arts, Deer Isle-Stonington Memorial Ambulance (EMT), exhibited in local galleries over the years. |
